- All students must ensure that their mailbox is operational, is read daily and has enough space to receive regular mail in order to maintain a reliable communication channel with the lecturer. Missed deadlines and other elements communicated by email may result in failing the course.
- The assessment methodology referred to by the School as M1 will be adopted for this Curricular Unit (CU). As explained in an email from the Vice-President of ISEC (2021/11/19; 18:07), in this methodology the assessment is done through continuous and/or periodic assessment, and ends before the exam season, with no subsequent assessment/exam.
- Students who have a special status, duly recognized by the Academic Services, which makes it impossible for them to attend classes on a regular, formally justified basis, must communicate this fact in a duly documented manner by the regent as soon as possible so that alternative assessment times can be scheduled, reconcilable with impediments justified by the student's status. It is also the responsibility of these students to follow the curricular unit from the beginning of the semester and maintain regular contact with the lecturer by email and on Nónio.
- Students who attended the previous edition without a pass but who attended the minimum number of classes required (75% or more of classes, including justified absences) should proceed as described above for students who are under a special status that makes it impossible for them to attend the course regularly.
- Any student who is unable to attend an assessment on time, with a justification validated by the course coordinator, must notify the course leader by email as soon as possible so that an alternative assessment date can be found.
- The final grade of the Curricular Unit (UC) results from the combination, with equal weight, of the evaluation of the two modules, which requires a minimum grade of 8 (out of 20) in each module.
- Each module results from the weighting of the classification obtained in the written evaluation (average of written tests during the semester or a single written test during evaluation by exam) and an individual or group practical work, with a weighting of 60% and 40% respectively.
