Internship

Approval of 60 ECTS until the end of the normal period of the third semester of the course.

Tutorial guidance from the supervisors of the host companies / institutions according to a work plan defined in conjunction with the ISEC supervising professors.

The internship takes place in the host companies / institutions.

To integrate the student in the daily life of a host company or institution, seeking to deepen their technical, social and interpersonal skills;

To be able to apply and execute, under guidance, the knowledge and knowledge acquired in the general training component and in the technical training component, through the development of practical activities included in your professional profile;

To understand the planning and execution processes of different specific operations of companies in the automotive or transport sectors;

To systematize procedures and optimize operational practices in the workplace.

Compliance with an individual work plan established according to the activities, within the scope of Electromechanical Maintenance, to be developed at the place of reception of the Training Component in the Work Context, in which the student is guided, monitored and evaluated by an Advisor, teacher of the IPC / ISEC, and by a host entity supervisor.
The Supervisor and the Supervisor will agree on the same plan, which will provide a brief description of the activities to be carried out. These activities have to be harmonized with most of the main activities listed in the DGES register.
The individual work plan is made known to the student in writing.
Periodically, the two managers communicate and / or meet to evaluate the implementation of the plan.
The internship will always have to frame the production of a report on the activities developed.
The student will always have to comply with the number of hours defined for the internship and compensate for any hours lost due to lack of attendance, regardless of the underlying cause.
Continuous performance assessment indicators are used (quality of work, rigor and dexterity, pace of work, application of safety standards, assiduity and punctuality, demonstration of initiative and social relationship), also contributing to the final classification of the student the evaluation of the Internship report.
At the end of the internship, the student will be submitted to a public test of presentation and defense of the internship report, before a jury.
