Base Knowledge
Basic knowledge of analyzing electrical circuits and using measuring equipment.
Teaching Methodologies
Theoretical and theoretical-practical component:
– Expository, using audiovisual media, applying whenever possible an interactive and/or dialogical approach.
– Application, through solving small exercises to consolidate the knowledge acquired.
Laboratory Component:
– Experimental, through group work, applying and consolidating the covered topics .
Learning Results
The Applied Electronics curricular unit introduces the fundamental and basic concepts of Electronics and its main components/devices.
The student is expected to understand the basic functioning and know the main characteristics of semiconductor devices (diode, bipolar transistor and FET), and must be able to analyze basic electronic circuits.
The student must be able to apply Electronics in control systems based on microcontrollers and respective peripherals, including the use of sensors, actuators and other interface devices.
Program
