The Internship component | The project aims to apply knowledge in the face of new challenges that arise in the exercise of the profession. It is a curricular unit of professional insertion, in which it is intended that students are able to apply knowledge when confronted with the reality of the sector.
According to the regulations regarding the Bologna Process, the aim is thus to integrate knowledge, to know how to deal with complex issues, to develop solutions or to make judgments in situations of limited or incomplete information, including reflections on the ethical and social implications and responsibilities that result from these solutions and judgments or condition them. For this reason, the tutorial orientation component is essential.
The final report is prepared following a strict set of rules and requirements defined by the teachers who teach the discipline, contained in a “Regulation”, presented and made available to students at the beginning of the school year.
The apprehension of knowledge in this curricular unit is divided between face-to-face and autonomous activities. The individual orientation of the works allows to guide and accompany the autonomous work developed by the student, encouraging his research capacity, as well as reflection, implementation of ideas and articulation of the theoretical research carried out in relation to the chosen theme for the Internship | Project.
In the internship component, the assessment made by the supervisor of the host institution will be taken into account. This curricular unit is essential for each student to be able to communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and reasoning underlying them, whether to specialists or non-specialists, in a clear and unambiguous way.
The assessment includes the preparation and public defense of a reasoned report corresponding to the final grade of this UC. Previously, stages for its preparation are also defined and interim deliveries are established for evaluation.
The report is presented to a jury responsible for assigning the final classification. The supervisor's qualitative assessment is taken into account.
The final classification of the Internship will result from the application of the following formula:
CF = (AS x 0.20) + (AR x 0.80)
on what:
CF - final classification of the Internship;
AS - evaluation of the student's performance by the host organization's Supervisor.
AR - Evaluation of the Internship Report and of the student's performance in the public exam by the jury.
The final classification of the Project will result from the application of the following formula:
CF = AT
on what:
CF - final classification of the Project;
AT - evaluation of the Project Work and the student's performance in the public exam by the jury.
