Knowledge of mathematics calculus regarding partial derivatives, integrals and equation systems.
Teaching Methodologies
In the current course the following teaching methodologies are used: 1) Verbal Methodologies making use of the pedagogical resources: Exhibition, Explanation and Dialogue; 2) Intuitive Methodologies, making use of the pedagogical resources: Demonstration, Resolution of exercises/problems.
Learning Results
The objective of this course aims to provide students with tools for applied economic analysis, in business and market contexts, to use in the decision-making in daily business management. Thus, students should:
a) Be able to understand the concepts of business economics and its underlying economic models;
b) Be able to understand and analyze the functioning of perfectly competitive markets and imperfectly competitive markets.
