The basic concepts of investment analysis and traditional valuation methods (NPV, IRR, and Payback Period), investment selection in specific situations, the problem of inflation, risk and uncertainty analysis, and the influence of financing decisions on investment valuation are addressed. We will address, in an integrated, simple, and practical way, the organization and functioning of the financial market, the main financial products, and their valuation, with a special focus on the valuation of stocks, bonds, and derivative products. At the end of this course, the student should be able to evaluate investments taking into account the multiple factors that condition them, their particular characteristics, the size, and the uncertainty of the assumptions made
