The Farm4Future project, (co-funded by the RRP – Recovery and Resilience Plan by the European Union) is the result of an application submitted by a consortium of Higher Education Institutions, led by the PUC and comprising the Polytechnic Universities of Castelo Branco, Viseu and Santarém, the University of Coimbra, CESPU – Polytechnic and University Higher Education Cooperative and Egas Moniz – Higher Education Cooperative.
This project aims to modernize and improve the attractiveness of agricultural sciences and is primarily carried out through the modernization of equipment and infrastructure, the holding of international congresses, a series of short courses aimed at professionals in the field and the holding of immersive weeks aimed at secondary school students, which will allow close contact with the reality of agricultural sciences.
So far the project is being carried out as planned and some results are already visible, with the interest that the immersive weeks have generated being a good example.
