Although there are no defined prerequisite course requirements, it is highly desirable that the students have knowledge and skills in information technologies and systems.
Teaching Methodologies
Classes are taught on a theoretical-practical basis, comprising the theoretical exposition of concepts and the demonstration of their
application, using computers and digital tools, in a dynamic teaching-learning process, fundamentally interactive, appealing to the
development of the student’s critical sense.
A Blended Learning model will be used, centred on the student, with teaching materials made available in advance, based on the
development of activities and with classes entirely dedicated to the analysis and practical application of concepts and the carrying out of
exercises.
Learning Results
To provide students with a set of knowledge and skills in the areas of information systems project management and computer security. In
addition to understanding the fundamentals, students are expected to acquire knowledge of the techniques, technologies and tools that
enable the construction of secure information systems and to develop the following skills:
– Know how to interpret and plan an information system project
– Be able to assess risk and develop strategies for its control and mitigation
– Be able to assess and manage change, resistance and conflict
– Understand the main concepts related to computer security
– Choose and use security mechanisms appropriately
– Understand the issues related to the need to raise awareness of computer security and cybersecurity
– Understand the issues related to ethics in computer security
– Be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

The assessment can be done in two ways:
1) Continuous, during classes and completed on the last day of classes - comprising the completion of 1 practical work and 1 theoretical test.
The final grade will be the result of the weighted sum of the grade for the practical work with the grade obtained in the theoretical test. The weighting will be 50% for each one of the items.
The Continuous Assessment requires the actual attendance of students in at least 75% of the classes actually taught.
2) By Exam, it takes place at the time of regulated exams periods. It comprises the completion of 1 single written test, simultaneously focused on the theoretical and practical components of the syllabus.
The student will be approved if he obtains a final grade greater than or equal to 9,5 (out of 20).
