Teaching Methodologies
Oral presention: to present the themes / content, raise issues and guide the approach of the students; Using different study cases to illustrate the topics under study;
Discussion in small groups (4-5 students), or various common tasks.
The evaluation of the course will occur within the Rules of Evaluation of Coimbra Health School, namely:
Continuing Evaluation: Students are assessed through a group work (2h), individual work (2h) and a summative written examination (2h) (details of the same shall be submitted in writing to students) or evaluated by Exam.
Learning Results
Cognitive: reflective knowledge and mental performance;
Affective: growth in emotional / behavioral and attitudinal areas.

1. Health, Functioning and Disability (Evolution of the concept of health, disability and models of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF); joint ICF/ICD-10);
2. Health conditions vs. Functionality and Disability (Clinicai diagnosis and diagnosis in physical therapy, clinicai reasoning);
3. The process of physiotherapy (Documentation and registration, Examination, Evaluation, Diagnosis, Prognosis, Intervention and outcomes Assessment);
4. Evidence Based Practice (empirical and practical evidence-based practice, leveis, types and degrees of evidence).
