Teaching Methodologies

A theoretical exposition of each subject is made in Theoretical lessons which is followed by the resolution of application exercises in Theoretical-Practical lessons. In the laboratorial component students should perform four group works (Linear Dynamics, Statics, Pendulum and Rotation Dynamics) and to deliver a report at the end of the lesson. 

Learning Results

Understand the fundamental laws of Classic Mechanics. Acquisition and analysis of experimental data in a group. Foster interpersonal skills through group work.

Grading Methods

Practical works (P) and final exam (E), both mandatory.

The final mark is E+P, where E is worth 16 points and P 4 points.

The approval requires that the mark P is greater than or equal to 2.0 points.

 

Students with TE (trabalhador estudante) status are exempt from doing the practical works and will be evaluated only by exam, worth 20 points.
