Teaching Methodologies
It will use a questionnaire and interactive methodology prior to the presentation of the main contents and concepts, and demonstration / exemplification of these through their practical application in everyday situations and using, where appropriate, videos, computer programs and professional instruments. It also contemplates, and whenever it is justified the autonomous study with research on the exposed contents and the reading and critical analysis of articles.
Students will be evaluated through a written assessment. The summative knowledge assessment consists of questions that assess the extent and depth of theoretical knowledge acquired in the discipline and the ability to practically apply this knowledge to everyday situations.
Approval of the subject is obtained with a classification greater than or equal to 9.5 points.

1. Recognize the principles inherent in the institution of food and nutritional therapy in the following pathologies / groups of pathologies:
1.1 Gastrointestinal Diseases
1.2 Kidney disease
1.3 Overweight and obesity; Metabolic surgery; Type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus
1.4 Oncological Disease
1.5 Burns
1.6 Liver and kidney transplantation
2. Know the premises associated with nutritional support therapy in critically ill patients and surgical patients.
3. Understand the concept and clinical objectives of the ERAS Program in patients undergoing elective surgery.
