Human Resource Management

Teaching Methodologies

The course includes theoretical and practical classes. The course will include:

TM1 – theoretical lectures by the professor, followed by class discussion.

TM2 – students performing, in group, exercises that apply in practice the theoretical learnings

TM3 – guest lectures performed by HR managers who will present how their organizations implement and structure human resource management practices

Learning Results

This subject aims at making students aware of the relevance of human resource management in organizations, making them familiar with HR’s procedures and purposes.

Learning Outcomes:

LO1 Understanding the importance of people and of people management for the success of organizations and how HRM relates to other corporate processes

LO2 Describing and explaining the main issues related with providing people to organizations.

LO3 Describing and explaining the main issues related with maintaining and developing people in organizations

LO4 Describing and explaining the main issues related with multicultural people management

LO5 Developing critical thought and the ability to work both autonomously and in group
