Course Objectives

– This master’s degree aims to answer to the needs of organizations, seeking to add technical skills to professionals who perform functions with strong contact or strong dependence on information systems, in the sense of their analysis and exploration in the management of organizations.
– It also intends to add skills to professionals who work in logistics management systems and planning of distribution systems in the industrial, transport and service sectors.

Access Conditions

Admission to the Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems:
1. Holders of the degree of bachelor (1st study cycle) or legal equivalent conferred by a national higher education institution, preferably in Informatics of Management, Management, Economy, Computer Engineering and other related areas;
2. the holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process, preferably in Management Informatics, Management, Economics, Computer Engineering and other related fields;
3. holders of a higher academic degree, national or foreign, that is recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council as meeting the objectives of the degree of bachelor (1st study cycle);
4. Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council as attesting to the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies.

Learning Objectives

Masters in Management Information Systems should:
– Be able to understand and explain the importance of information and information systems in organizations, as a support system for business processes and decision support;
– Acquire skills to analyze, plan and globally specify the information system of an organization;
– Understand the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation as essential factors of leadership and strategic vision of an organization, namely in taking advantage of opportunities arising from market changes.

Business: Know and implement quantitative decision support techniques that allow an effective approach to the management of information systems and technologies in business processes;
Logistics: Know and be able to discuss the various structured systems of the logistics chain, defined in different economic frameworks associated with different distribution systems.
