Applications are carried out online through the Inforestudante platform of the Polytechnic of Coimbra and can only be submitted within the deadlines set for the ongoing competition at the time.
In the 2024/25 academic year, the application is multi-course, allowing each candidate to choose to apply for up to two courses in the same form – provided they are taught in the same academic unit – which will be ordered by preference. If the candidate is not placed in the first-choice course due to lack of availability, they will automatically be considered for placement in the next option, provided they also meet all admission requirements.

1st step: Register as a user on the platform https://inforestudante.ipc.pt.
2nd step: Fill out the application form in your registered area and upload all documents -> seal and submit the application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the application submitted correctly on the platform will only be analyzed by the services after payment of the respective applicable fee (via Multibanco Reference or Paypal).”

a) Scanned copy of proof of civil identification (identity card, citizen card, or passport with the individual’s authorization for exclusive use within the scope of the application);
b) Scanned copy of the document(s) certifying the qualification(s) the candidate holds, including the final grade(s): Portuguese secondary education diploma or equivalent, diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority attesting to the approval in an education program and conferring the right to apply for and enroll in higher education in the country where it was conferred;
(In the case of foreign documents, candidates must present documents endorsed by consular services, or by affixing the Apostille of the Hague Convention, and, if not written in Portuguese, Spanish, French, or English, translated into Portuguese by a translator recognized by the diplomatic representation;)
c) Copy of the results obtained in the ENEM (candidates who have taken this exam in Brazil), provided that the requirements for its application are met;
d) Scanned copy of the detailed curriculum plan of the subject(s) corresponding to the entrance exams required for admission to the bachelor’s degree program the candidate intends to apply for; this document must contain the description of the programmatic content of the required subject(s) and must be duly authenticated by the issuing entity (secondary education institution of the candidate or another competent national educational entity);*

e) Scanned copy of proof of language proficiency level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as provided for in item a) of paragraph 2 of article 7 of the IPC International Student Statute Regulations, or proof of registration for the written and oral Portuguese language test;**
f) Other documents deemed relevant.
* Candidates presenting a valid ENEM for application in the application are exempt from presenting this document; candidates who have attended and completed secondary education in Portugal, Cape Verde, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe are also exempt.
** Candidates originating from countries whose official language is Portuguese or who have attended secondary education in Portuguese are exempt from this requirement.

The ranking of candidates is determined in descending order of the final score and is expressed on a scale from 0 to 200. The minimum application score for each study cycle is 100.
