Teaching Methodologies
The syllabus will be taught through an alliance between theoretical exposition and the simulation of an essay in the classroom, in which the tasks foreseen in the execution of investigative/deep journalism work are rehearsed. The curricular unit is developed around the participation of the degree in the collaborative project “Reporters in Construction”, which is designed to apply the knowledge of students in journalistic training(Details about the project here: https://www.reporteresemconstrucao.pt/rec /).
According to the Continuous Assessment Regime, learning will be assessed through the student’s active participation in the classroom (50%), as well as their performance in the REC Project (50%).
Students must register for the exam on the dates provided for this purpose and following the rules set by ESEC
Learning Results
The investigative journalism workshop focuses on the deepening of journalistic production techniques tested in courses such as Gender Journalism, Media Journalistic Writing Techniques or Press Journalism.
