Course Objectives
Ensure the training of occupational therapists capable of acting autonomously, ethically, responsibly and differently, in accordance with the APTO profile. Ensure a solid scientific basis, supported by current conceptual models and scientific evidence, enabling intervention in various occupational and clinical contexts. To enable students to act on the biopsychosocial determinants of health, recognising occupation as a means of therapy and health promotion. To foster cross-cutting skills such as therapeutic communication, interdisciplinary work, leadership, professional ethics and continuous learning. To promote respect for dignity, autonomy and human rights, ensuring ethical and deontological practices. Prepare graduates for international mobility, complying with WFOT criteria and ENOTHE benchmarks. Develop evidence-based practice and encourage participation in research networks, promoting a critical and innovative approach.
Access Conditions
National competition for access to public higher education, with entrance exams in one of the following sets:

For the application, a minimum score of 95 points is required in the entrance exams and in the application grade, expressed on a scale of 0 to 200 points.
The calculation formula includes 50% of the secondary school average and 50% of the entrance exams.
The regional preference corresponds to 20% of the vacancies, for the areas of influence of Aveiro, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Guarda, Leiria and Viseu.

Understand ethical, deontological and legal frameworks. Assess occupational needs, develop diagnoses and objectives, design and monitor occupation-centred plans.

Access to Superior Studies
The graduate degree allows the application to postgraduate studies.
