Course Objectives
Data analysis in the healthcare sector has a significant impact on improving diagnosis and clinical resource management. With the increasing digitalization of hospital processes and the availability of large volumes of data, the use of advanced techniques to extract useful knowledge and support decision-making becomes essential. The micro-credential in Health Data Mining aims to equip students with the skills to explore, model, and interpret clinical data using data mining and Machine Learning (ML) approaches.
Throughout the course, fundamental concepts related to these topics will be covered, always with a focus on healthcare applications. The program combines theory and practice, providing students with the opportunity to work with real datasets and develop predictive models applicable to clinical scenarios.
Through a hands-on approach, the course aims to help students understand the challenges and opportunities of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, contributing to improved clinical decision-making and hospital management.
