Welcome to the Polytechnic of Coimbra!
Coimbra is located in the center of Portugal near the coastline, between Porto and Lisbon. The relevance of the Polytechnic of Coimbra in the Portuguese Higher Education System has been proved by the growing number of young people that choose PUC to study as well as the excellent study rates of employability of its graduates.

Portuguese Language and Culture Course
For mobility students who do not master the Portuguese language, the Polytechnic of Coimbra provides Portuguese Language and Culture Courses for Foreigners.
These courses take place at the beginning of September for students who come for mobility in the 1st semester or full academic year and in February for students in the 2nd semester.
Welcoming Students
The Polytechnic of Coimbra organizes welcoming activities for all foreign students in both the first and second semester.
These activities intend to integrate students into academic life by visiting iconic and important regional sites and are organized with the collaboration of Students Associations and ESN – Erasmus Students Network. The topics guiding the activities are diverse and include sports, environment or nature, and promote natural and cultural heritage of the region.
Candidaturas / Applications
Before applying for admission as an Erasmus student, please ensure that your university has an Erasmus Inter-Institutional agreement with PUC (P COIMBRA 02) for your area of studies.
Please ensure that you have been nominated by your home institution to participate in the exchange. The nominations should be sent by your International Office to the email of the International Office of the school of your area of studies. Please check the table below:
