Learning Results
The Curricular Unit (UC) of Aromatic, Ornamental Plants and Green Spaces aims to provide students of the Degree in Agronomy with comprehensive information about the various activities, such as the production and use of aromatic plants, cut flowers and potted plants, the production and use of garden and park plants or plants with landscape interest.
Program
1. Economic and social importance of aromatic and ornamental plants;
2. (1) Aromatic plants; (2) Cut flowers; (3) Potted plants; (3) Creation of gardens and maintenance of herb gardens; (4) Planting and
maintenance of ornamental and sports lawns.;
3. Execution of practical work in the field (collection of plant material; pruning of shrubs), in the laboratory (sowing and plant multiplication), in the nursery (planting and acclimatization of seedlings obtained).
