Teaching Methodologies

Theoretical classes, based on the oral exposition of theoretical concepts and on the critical discussion of the application of these concepts to the resolution of exercises and problems of the real world.
Theoretical-practical classes based on individualized support, in order to develop the students’ critical spirit and creativity and encourage the application of these qualities to solving exercises and approaching problems.

Learning Results

The objective of this curricular unit is to promote, in the student who successfully completes it, the following skills:
1. Masters the fundamental concepts of differential and integral calculus and aspects related to their applications;
2. Identifies and solves 1st order ordinary differential equations.
The immediate application of theoretical concepts to practice facilitates and speeds up the active construction of knowledge by the students, helping them to achieve the learning objectives. The detailed discussion of the contents and problems presented during the classes contributes to the development of the students’ critical thinking and autonomy, helping them to consolidate the acquired knowledge.

– 2.1. Ordinary differential equations of separable variables;
– 2.2. Linear ordinary differential equations;
– 2.3. Bernoulli ordinary differential equations
