Teaching Methodologies
To achieve the objectives and acquire the competences to the students, the teaching-learning process is based on: 1 – In the exposition and discuss of issues; 2 – In the literature review on the topics of the program; 3 – In the analysis of national and international standards and legislation. 4 In developing group work and reporting on specific study cases, integrating all aspects of the work mentioned in the previous paragraphs.
Learning Results
In the last decades a set of tools were developed to optimize organizations environmental and global performance. In this context, the audit and quality and environmental management certification and are important tools in today’s organizations, so it is desirable to acquire competences in an area that will becoming an essential tool for competitiveness and sustainable development. It is intended that students: 1 – Know the different tools used in environmental management, in particular the standards of families ISO 9001, 14001 and 14010 2 – Be proficient in applying ISO 9001 and 14001 standards families to various types of organizations and activities.
