1. Fundamental energy concepts: energy definition, sources, forms, transformations, yield, fundamental laws; 2. Energy and environment: energy geopolitical context, environmental problems, climate change and greenhouse gases, energy efficiency, national and international policies and regulations, carbon market; 3. Energy resources: renewable and non-renewable, technologies and applicability; 4. Energy management: principles, methodology and strategies, stakeholders; 5. Energy management in industry: Intensive Energy Management System regulation, horizontal and sectorial energy efficiency measures in industry; 6. Energy management in buildings: challenges, complexity, strategies, energy efficiency measures, legal context – Energy Efficiency Directive, Energy Building Certification Scheme (SCE, RCCTE, RSECE).
