Teaching Methodologies
The adopted methodology is based on reading/listening to texts and documents within the study area, on the production of both spoken and written wordings stemming from professional practice, and on “mock” situations. Courses are strongly practical, centred on individual and group assignments, such as: 1. Reading comprehension exercises; 2. Oral comprehension exercises; 3. Audio texts, short documentaries and note taking; 4. Short essays and sumaries; 5. Brief presentations.
Learning Results
The Course Unit “Technical English” aims at broadening and strengthening background knowledge and 30-10-2021 18:30 – Ana Bela Oliveira Mendes Lopes 2 de 5 providing students with the appropriate competences to communicate in working environment as well as collect and produce information. This UC also intends to foster autonomous lifelong learning.
