Base Knowledge
Biology, Plant Protection, Integrated Pest Management.
Teaching Methodologies
To achieve the objectives of the Curricular Unit and the acquisition of skills provided, the teaching learning process is based on class presentation and discussion of content by teachers and students and in thepreparation by students of technical itineraries, based on of literature, within the Curricular Unit and its subsequent presentation and discussion in class.
Learning Results
The Master in in Sustainable Development should recognize the good agricultural practices to preserve ecosystems and public health and the principles associated with Sustainable, Integrated and Organic Production. He will be able to assess the impacts of the agricultural and crop protection practices on the environment and public health and to develop technical itineraries in sustainable production that preserve the biodiversity, landscape and natural resources and produce goods of differentiated quality. He should develop the following competences: know the Codes of Good Agricultural Practices and Integrated Protection and Production and legislation; know institutional support for Integrated Production and Organic Agriculture; know the main enemies of the crops and the protection measures in Integrated Protection and Organic Agriculture; know and to distinguish the different types of Sustainable Agriculture, concepts, principles, objectives and legislation in Organic Agriculture.
