Teaching Methodologies
The methodological choices for the fulfillment of the program of the course will focus on three key educational components:
– Oral presentation oriented to the estimated contents;
– Study and presentation of reference examples;
– Development of practical work, under the guidance of the teacher.
EVALUATION METHODS
The evaluation on the curricular unit will, at the option of the student, of the following modalities:
– Continuous evaluation;
– Exam.
The evaluation in those modalities will obey criteria that will be explained in the statements and/or oyher elements presented, according to the following components and weights:
CONTINUOUS EVALUATION
– Presencial Participation – weight of 20%;
– Individual Project (contents 4.1) – weight of 25%.
– Individual test (contents 4.2 to 4.7) – weight of 55%.
EXAM
The syllabus domain – weight of 70% in the overall evaluation;
Technical communication skills – weight of 30% in the overall evaluation.
Learning Results
3.1 Acquire theoretical, practical, technical and aesthetic knowledge necessary for the design and editing of vector drawings.
3.2 Distinguish artistic drawing from technical drawing.
3.3 Know the different types of lines and strokes in the technical representation.
3.4 Acquire knowledge about different scales of representation.
3.5 Represent objects from different perspectives.
3.6 Draw up orthogonal projections.
3.7 Make cuts/sections in the technical drawing.
3.8 Mastering dimensioning techniques.

4.1.1 The interface and basic tools of vector drawing software.
4.1.2 Vector drawing – properties of the objects, line, fill, color, texture, etc.
4.1.3 Text Editing.
4.1.4 Technical issues of graphic production: Layers, bleed, CMYK vs RGB vs Pantone, color profiles.
4.1.5 For artwork – save and export.
