Teaching Methodologies

Students will analyze theatrical texts, dissecting the dramatic action of the works, translating ideas and concepts of lighting from storyboards.

They will use software to create storyboards and documentation, to develop light concepts and execute the hanging of lighting rigs. They will attend theater shows to be able to develop a critical eye on light for stage shows.

They must be present and participate in theoretical classes, to then show the knowledge acquired in the final project, which will be the development of a light design for a theatrical work.

Students will be required to submit the final work consisting of storyboards, cue sheets, and other documentation necessary for the execution of a light design.

The evaluation, exclusively continuous, will have the following components:

– Class attendance and participation – 30%

– Final Light Design Project – 70%
