Teaching Methodologies

Continuous evaluation. Up to 25% of hours can be taught in remote mode.
A written theoretical evaluation with the weight of 75% of the T/P matrix. The written evaluation grade must be at least 9,5 values;
Group work with the weight of 25% of the T/P matrix. The grade of the work must be at least 9,5 values;
Theoretical-practical classes will contribute in 70% of the final grade, whose classification must be at least 9,5 values;
Practical assessment will contribute in 30% of the final grade, whose classification must be at least 9,5 values.

Acquire aural rehabilitation evaluation and intervention methodologies in interdisciplinary teams.

Definition of rehabilitation and aural rehabilitation
Importance of aural rehabilitation; Deprivation, early stimulation, brain plasticity; Types of aural rehabilitation;
Limitations of aural rehabilitation
The different levels and types of deafness and the challenges in (re)habilitation.
The impact of hearing impairment in individuals with hearing loss
The scales of hearing handicap
Psychological and educational factors and their influence on the motivation for aural rehabilitation
Analysis of expectation from the point of view of the user and the audiologist
Ethical and economic factors and their influence on aural rehabilitation process
The audiological evaluation of children, adults and the elderly in the context of the aural rehabilitation process
Tinnitus’ evaluation
Presentation of group work
Knowledge assessment
Matrix practice: students will be divided into 4 groups.
