Teaching Methodologies

Teaching in theoretical-practical methodology, program is of expository nature with the use of audiovisual media
that promote the active participation of the students.
The use of computer equipment, using data-processing software and their interpretation.
This way of teaching will be assessed through written test.
The component Tutorial orientation aims to guide the project in development.
The final evaluation will be carried out through the written project and for its presentation and public defence.

Learning Results

The student must purchase:
Knowledge:
• the different research methodologies applied to health sciences, including the organization and analysis and
interpretation of data.
• on the importance of clinical audit and based practice evidence, including the completion of a research project,
with the associated ethical principles
Skills to:

• carry out a research project applying the appropriate methodologies, using appropriate statistical techniques and
be able to make decisions.
• critically evaluate scientific publications and develop logical reasoning about projects to develop.
Competences to:
• integrate into professional practice the results published in scientific articles
• apply evidence-based practice, in the course of his professional intervention, ensuring best practices to their
patients;
• present and publish the results obtained within the framework of clinical audits and/or multidisciplinary applied
research;

Objectives and context of scientific research;
Concept of methodologies of scientific research and characterization of types of studies;
Quality of research and experimental validity;
Steps of an investigation: formulation of question or problem of research, exploration, the problematic,
construction of an analysis model, observation, analysis of results, discussion, conclusions and limitations;
How to communicate the scientific discoveries;
Critical analysis of scientific articles;
Internal structure of a scientific work appropriate to each research methodology;
