Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit: interpretation and analysis of the legal provisions and exposure of contents by the teacher and its discussion with the students; resolution of practical real case studies and court decisions by the students.

Learning Results

To provide the students the basic concepts and normative rules regarding (a) commercial activities and coroprations and (b) the protection of consumers.

Program

Part I – Commercial Law: 1. The enterprise and the law. 2. Public and private owners of enterprises. 3. Corporations. 4. Industrial property. 

Part II – Consumers Law: 5. Consumers’ protection law. 6. General clauses in contracts. 7. Unfair trading practices; 9 The protection of consumers of essential public services. 9. The sale of consumer goods and associated guarantees.
