Contents of the course are presented using examples.

Many exercises are proposed to the students so they can try to solve different kinds of problems.

1. Develop the ability to research, compute, and communicate information using new information, and communication technologies;

2. Efficiently use (create, use, save, and print files of) different informatic tools files autonomously;

3. Have a few ideas on computer programming, in particular VBA used in Excel;

4. Create and use a relational database in Access;

5. Define the basic concepts of an Information System;

6. Identify the used technologies in Information Systems;

7. List the Information Systems potentialities;

8. Assess a company needs regarding Information System;

9. Identify the role of the information technologies in the information management of a company;

10. Identify characteristics and potentialities of specific information systems types in the organizational information management.
