Management Accounting

The teaching and learning method combine two methods: expository in theoretical content and active and interrogative in the resolution and
discussion of practical cases.

1. To List the similarities and differences between financial accounting and cost management.
2. To be familiarize with cost Management Accounting terminology
3. Know in detail the components of the production cost of products/services
4. Provide a detailed knowledge of the various inventory costing systems (full and partials)
5. Explain and use the cost assignment process in Cost Center method
6. Understand and use the Activity-Based Costing (ABC)
7. Through concrete situations, identify the different manufacturing regimes and use the most appropriate cost accumulation systems,
namely, Job-order, process and hybrid costing.
8. Identify the characteristics of the joint production process, and allocate joint costs to products
9. Recognize the existing relationships between Cost, Volume and Result (C-V-R), and use the C-V-R model in short-term planning
10. Introduce the concepts, terminology and ways of using standard costs and calculate and analyze variances
