Learning Results
This course aims to provide students with conceptual and instrumental capabilities in the field of advanced
spreadsheets and in particular to Microsoft Excel.
As specific objectives of this course it is intended that students are able to use spreadsheets to perform data
analysis, simulation and automation of procedures.
Upon completion of the course the student should be able to: identify conditions of use of the functions of
databases, building pivot tables and graphs, taking advantage of options for defining the data table, the sorting
and filtering operations on fields table, taking into account different criteria and procedures, using the
simulation tools of scenarios, achieving objective and Solver, and be able to create and use macros to
automate commands and procedures using the technology Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
