International Logistics

Learning Results

Global markets introduce new and increasingly demanding challenges to organizations. The international
dimension of logistics results particularly important in this context and it allows a comprehensive advance in
the overall supply chain management.
Thus, the objective of this curricular unit, UC, is to motivate students to the importance of the issues related to
the international dimension of logistics using an integrated perspective of supply chain management, while
taking into account the new challenges on the management, optimization and monitoring of the entire decision
process.
Therefore it is intended that the UC allows the student to acquire a conceptual support that would give them a
comprehensive view of the logistic function and of its international perspective and its role in the supply chain,
as well as a proper perception of the proposed methodologies for the management and the optimization of its
operation.
