With this curricular unit, the studens will be able to understand the main concepts and policies of human resources
management.
This unit seeks to analyze the most recent knowledge in the human resources critical areas and to develp a
thourough
understanding of the relations between human resources and other management areas.
It is also a goal to provide a practical and up to date oversee of human resources management, highlighting the
challenges and opportunities presented to human resources managers, as active elements in preparing,
implementing and controling strategic actions.
This curricular unit also aims at addressing the core concepts related to the recruitment, development and
retention of the human resources who are critical to organizational sucess.
Finally, it is also intended to use theoretical concepts to analyze and solve problems presented in case studies and
in
contacts with companies, thus fostering the development of technical skills
