In Theoretical-Practical lessons the expository and inquisitive method is used during the explanation of the theoretical subjects and exercises are solved in groups and individually. Students should perform several practical group assignments. In Tutorial classes one follows a methodology based on skills and group learning (teamwork); students will be supervised, through the clarification of theoretical doubts, exercises resolution and guidance of the practical assignment.

Objectives:
Understanding of the conceptual basis of land use Planning
Understanding of the competences and duties of local authorities in terms of land use planning as well as the legal framework and instruments that shape that activity
Understanding and application of fundamental techiques of demographic, physical and territorial analysis
Competences:
To identify the structures and instruments that shape land use planning and management
To know and apply methods, models, operational techniques and applications which are inherent to land use planning and management
To have a critical view towards the different solutions in terms of organization and use of the territory
