Teaching Methodologies
In Theoretical classes we use the lecture method. In the theoretical-practical and practical classes students take contact with the main machining operations and welding processes. Different mechanical measuring instruments are used.
Learning Results
Know different machining processes involving conventional equipments, tools and cutting parameters. Know how to interpret technical drawings and diagrams. Know the properties and application fields of a wide range of engineering materials. Know the main casting processes and plastic deformation of metallic materials. Know the main techniques of processing of polymeric and ceramic materials.
Program
– Fundaments of operations to obtain parts by chip removal: Sawing, threading, gridding, boring, drilling, turning, milling;
– Tools for accuracy measure;
– Processing of metallic materials by casting;
– Processing of metallic materials by plastic deformation: Rolling, extrusion and drawing;
– Welding processes: Shielded arc welding, MIG / MAG welding, submerged arc welding;
– Processing of polymers and ceramic materials.
