Teaching Methodologies
The teaching component of the course includes Theoretical-Practical lessons in nature (e.g. concepts exposition and practical illustration). These classes will have an explanatory component of the concepts and fundamentals of each topic and a practical component versed assessment and analysis of illustrative examples and cases, which may, occasionally, include the use of computational tools.
Learning Results
Organizations have been faced with increasingly demanding challenges imposed by global market competitiveness. Supply chain management presents an approach that allows a comprehensive advance and an integrated perspective of the topology, the processes and markets, as well as the impact of the logistics requirements on the planning and management of the supply chain.
The objective is to motivate students to the importance of the issues related to supply chain management, using an integrated perspective of all chain entities and the flows involved in the chain while taking into account the new challenges on the planning, management and monitoring of the entire decision process.
It is intended that the student acquires a conceptual support that gives a comprehensive view of the supply chain, of the logistic function and the transportation and distribution processes and mechanisms, as well as a perception of the proposed methodologies for planning and the management of this operation.
