Teaching Methodologies

6.1 The methodological choices will focus on three key educational components: oral presentation oriented to the estimated contents; study and presentation of works/ productions and their authors; work development under the teacher guindance.

6.2 Given the specificity of this curricular unit, the student must ensure the minimum presence in 40 hours of contact (classes), by assisting the right to carry out examination if he has not obtained approval by continuous evaluation.

CONTINUOS EVALUATION
– Attendance participation – 10% of the global assessment;
– Practical assignments – 90% of the global assessment.

EXAM
– Ability to communicate ideas – 30% of the exam’s global assessment;
– Practical component – 70% of the overall assessment of the exam.

3.1- Design and imagine proposals for painting projects on two-dimensional supports;
3.2- Conduct preparatory studies, colour, scale, material and surface testing, textures, prototypes and models;
3.3- Develop the practice of painting in a workshop and explore the references of modern and contemporary painting;
3.4- Trying out proposals for personal interpretation of contemporary plastic languages of painting;
3.5- To know and apply painting techniques on different supports;
3.6- To develop compositional strategies suited to contemporary painting approaches.

4.2.3- Action painting/expressionism
4.2.4- Colour/optics interaction
4.2.5- Surface/montage/collage

4.3- Materials, grounds and accessories
4.3.1- Usual and not usual materials
4.3.2- Preparation of grounds
4.3.3- Painting boards, tripods, paint boxes, safety rules and cloths about studio work

4.4- Studio work
4.4.1- Painting on K-line board
4.4.2- Painting on object or assembly elements
4.4.3- Painting on hard boards or canvas.
