Teaching Methodologies

The syllabus will be developed using: a) lectures, b) theoretical-practical sessions and case analysis of research studies, c) pratical work in class and extra-class.

Learning Results

At the end of the semester, students should be able to:

a) Identify the psychosocial determinants of motivation, performance, satisfaction, trust, engagement, productivity, innovation, identity and culture groups in organizations.

b) Know how to apply the knowledge acquired in the analysis of organizational dynamics and the design of strategies and in management of organizational processes

Program

1. Theories of motivation in organizations:

a) Theories centered on content, processes and results;

b) Applications: Recognition, involvement, management by objectives and remuneration programs.

2. Social perception and causal attribution:

a) Social perception, formation of impressions;

b) Causal attributions and the subjective explanation of reality;

3. Theories of job satisfaction:

a) The two-factor approach;

b) The model of the function characteristics;

c) The approach to determining discrepancies;

d) Dynamic approaches in the study of satisfaction;

e) Applications in organizational contexts: Measures of satisfaction, its determinants and its consequences.

4. Leadership processes:

a) The theory of traits, behavior and contingency;

b) Contemporary theories and models;

c) Applications in organizational contexts
