Teaching Methodologies
This course will work in a regime of theoretical-practical classes, where the themes will be presented and the contents illustrated through the debate of situations and concrete cases. The sessions are developed in order to give priority to interactive methodologies and group management that stimulate debate, intervention as well as the consolidation of knowledge and skills. In addition, the participatory spirit and problem solving will be valued.
Learning Results
1.1. In this curricular unit, it is intended that students take ownership of research concepts and techniques, knowing their strengths and limitations. Throughout the sessions, students will acquire technical and theoretical skills, so that they gradually acquire autonomy at a conceptual level.
1.2. Therefore, the objectives are:
– Contextualize the research process in Social Sciences,
– Present the stages of the research process,
– Highlight the importance of the research problem and theme selection, as well as the construction of the analysis model,
– Raise students’ awareness of research activity, emphasizing the importance of a good literature review, choosing the most appropriate methods and techniques for data collection and treatment,
– Reveal the methodology of case studies in Management.
1.3. The skills to be acquired are covered by the ability to:
– Identify a topic and research problem,
– Build an analysis model,
– Build a Dissertation, Project, or Internship plan.
