Course Objectives

This master aims to respond to new challenges of tourism and the need to develop innovative strategies that ensure the sustainability of destinations. It is also important to enable young graduates and professionals who need to develop skills to improve their performance to continue their studies. Therefore, the main aims of this master are:
– to offer training that develops and deepens knowledge in fundamental areas of tourism management and territorial Innovation obtained at undergraduate level, enabling its application in solving problems within multidisciplinary contexts;
– to enable the management and strategic cooperation between tourism, territories, innovation and sustainability;
– to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit and promote the innovation capacity of tourism supply based on the territories’ resources;
– to stimulate applied research and high-level professional development in tourism, in a self-directed or autonomous way.

Access is in accordance with the 2nd Cycle of Studies Academic Regulation for Polytechnic University of Coimbra’ courses.
