Master in Right to Food and Rural Development

Course Objectives

Contribute to the achievement of the objective “eradicate extreme poverty and hunger”, enshrined in the United Nations Millennium Goals through the creation of competencies in the areas of the right to food, food security and rural development, responding to the needs of organizations linked to cooperation and development activities that develop actions to promote humanitarian aid, food security, rural development and sustainable ways of life. Train highly qualified technicians who integrate their staff, projects, activities and dynamics in contexts of high vulnerability and extreme poverty.

Access Conditions

Holders of a bachelor’s degree, or legal equivalent;
Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, or legal equivalent, conferred as a sequence of a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;
Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor’s degree;
Holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Technical-Scientific Council
Continuity Master’s Degree in Biological Agriculture, Forest Sciences and Natural Resources / Forest Resources Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology / Food Engineering and Environmental Management and Technology / Environmental Engineering at Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra: direct access for graduates and students finalists (who have 4 UCs to finish) of these degrees.

Professional Outlets

Graduates will be qualified to work as Rural Development Senior Technicians.
