Teaching Methodologies
Classes take a dynamic character, incorporating: 1) combination of magistral lessons, combining systematized knowledge and information with critical analysis, based on texts; 2) practical tasks.
Students can opt for continuous assessment or evaluation by final exam. Continuous assessment is achieved by: 1) presenting a literature review on a topic about ageing; and 2) a written test (50%).
Evaluation by exam includes a written test on all course content (100%).

1. To know and apply the procedures and methodologies of qualitative/quantitative research in the field of Social Gerontology:
• To identify research problems and design a research project;
• To select the most appropriate research design;
• To select the universe and the sample/ participants;
• To select and use appropriate quantitative/ qualitative data collection techniques;
• To interpret the collected information and communicate research results to different audiences;
