Teaching Methodologies

This CU dynamic will be mainly based in practical sessions.

The methodologies to be used rely on different strategies that basically aim at three main aspects: planning, operationalization and conduction of Athletics training and teaching, as coach or teacher of the sport and also the proficiency in the practice of the specialities addressed;

The evaluation will be made by continuous evaluation or final exam (200 points (p) = 20 values).

By continuous evaluation:

1. Participation in classes and other activities 10 p

2. Classification T 75 p

3. Classification PL 115 p

For access to the final evaluation by exam, students must obtain a minimum of 60 points in

Final exam assessment:

1. Theoretical test 100p;

2. Practical tests 100p.

The access to the practical test is conditioned to obtaining 75p in the theoretical test.

Learning Results

1. Identify and describe the training model, organization and programming of the practice of young athletes;

2. Identify, characterize and describe the conditional and coordinating motor skills, the organization forms and the type structure of the training session with children’s and youngest;

3. Understand, explore, promote and implement in different fields of professional intervention, programs adapted to the context in which the practices of the modality are developed: Athletics;

4. Plan, design and operationalize training sessions, using methodologies, strategies and teaching situations appropriate to the learners’ learning;

5. Perform an elementary level the various specialties of Athletics: running, hurdles, jumps, throws and athletic walking.

1. The training of young athletes

2. The development of the physical condition at the training levels

3. Speed training and training at training levels

4. Athletic walking training at the training levels

5. The training of barriers in training

6. The training of jumps in the training stages

7. The training of throwing events at the basic training levels
