Clinical Placement
Clinical practice with continuous evaluation, complemented with a practical evaluation at the end of the clinical practice period and presentation of a final Internship report, which will be subject to public defense tests before a Jury.

Thesis
Elaboration of a Research study with Tutorial Orientation by the defined research team, a study applied to the branch of specialization and preferably with a methodological approach conceptually framed in the Problem Based Research. The research work must be planned, implemented and translated into a Thesis that will be subject to Public presentation before a Master’s Jury, from which the final evaluation will result.

The internship aims to provide comprehensive, applied technical and scientific training, capable of enabling participants to respond to the new challenges of diagnosis and intervention at the level of the specialization branch, particularly in the following areas:
– Practical application of the fundamental concepts developed, through an integrated approach of articulating clinical information with the technological aspect, on an individual basis.
– Identification and resolution of problems, within the scope of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the field of specialization;
– Competence to select and analyze scientific evidence and apply it to practice in the appropriate situation.
– Understand the technology and clinical and experimental instrumentation appropriate to the processes of clinical practice in the field of specialization;

The thesis aims primarily at developing the capacity for scientific research applied to the field of specialization, basing clinical practice on scientific evidence. In this way, it is intended that the theoretical training, fits the state of the art, allowing participants to make more correct decisions from a scientific perspective (“evidence-based”), combined with training in all aspects essential to the field of specialization of the study cycle.

Clinical Placement
Conducting a clinical internship in the areas of expertise chosen by the Student, according to the specialization branch.

Thesis
Elaboration of an applied research study, with particular focus on the problem-based research methodology, and consequent Thesis conceptually applied to the field of specialization.

Tese/Thesis
Toda a bibliografia recomendada durante o 1º ano curricular, particularmente a direcionada ao ramo de
especialização e às metodologias de investigação e estatística. Bibliografia ajustada à investigação, mediante a
pesquisa em bases de dados bibliográficos adequadas (e.g. Pubmed).

All the recommended bibliography during the 1st curricular year, particularly that directed to the field of
specialization and to research and statistical methodologies. Literature adjusted to the specific research through
literature search in adequate digital databases (e.g. Pubmed).
