Computer Applications

Base Knowledge

In order to a,chieve the objectives of  the U.C and confer the componences provided to the student, the learning process is based on cases studies, accompanied by a set of instructions and statistical / computer tools that lead the student to analyze each case and draw conclusions; in the execution of practical works of application of theoretical concepts; in the bibliographic reseearch necessary to complement the information obtained in class.

The exhibition will be made using Microsof Excel, Word and Power Point.

Teaching Methodologies

Classes will be theoretical-practical. An expository methodology will be used for the presentation of theoretical concepts that will be exemplified with concrete situations of reality. The exhibition will be made using “Power Point” presentations.

Several sheets will be made available on the contents taught, resolved in classes and other supplementary information for resolution at home.

Learning Results

Recognize the composition of a personal computer in terms of “hardware” and “software”; know and be able to use the common functions of a computer. Know legal, personal safety and ergonomic aspects associated with the use of computers. Knowing examples of computer applications to perform common tasks. Use as productivity tools of a word processor to carry out the tasks of preparing technical-scientific documents, simple and complex. Use a word processor to create forms and to generate series of documents. Use spreadsheet to create tables and databases; carry out data analysis applying standard functions at the medium level; build synthesizer graphics. Know a presentation manager for the construction of presentations, small brochures or panels and the main graphic and content criteria to take into account for greater efficiency.
