Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methods will comprise:

– lecture sessions on theoretical and practical principles;

– theoretical and pratical sessions with analysis of audiovisual products

– development of practical team work.

Students can choose to be evaluated by frequency (continuous evaluation) or by examination (final evaluation).

Frequency evaluation includes the development of a script and production plan (50%) and the production of the related video (50%). Participation in team tasks developed in class and supervised by the teacher is mandatory. The attendance of less than 80% of the classes is penalized in 5 to 10% (1 to 2 values) of the final evaluation.

Learning Results

This curricular unit aims to provide theoretical and technical knowledge that allow the student to develop videographic works, from the pre-production phase to the final post-production phase.

By the end of the semester, students should be able to:

1. Create scripts for audiovisual production;

2. Manage video cameras in a technical and aesthetical way;

3. Work withl editing software to develop audiovisual products;

4. Make critical analysis of different kinds of audiovisual products.
