Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit

1) Verbal methods (say), making use of the following educational resources: Exposition, Explanation, Dialogue and questioning;

2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of the following educational resources: Demo, Audiovisual, written texts;

3) Role-play (simulation), making use of keywords and technical vocabulary.

Learning Results

It is intended to:

1. Promote the development of the four skills: writing, reading, speaking and listening;

2. Apply and use correctly a broad range of vocabulary;

3. Use varied vocabulary (Technical English);

4. Analyse critically different types of statements;

5. Acquire planning and preparing techniques for different types of texts and documents;

6. Produce oral and written statements, adaping them to different communicative situations;

7. Learn new research techniques, as well as selecting and skimming information;

8. Establish varied conversations in English.   

Program

1. English Language B2:

– Personal presentation;

– Establish dialogues about job and career;

– Establish dialogues about daily routine;

– Establish basic and varied conversation in English;

– Create dialogues about physical appearance using comparisons;

– Apply vocabulary about new technologies;

– Talking about travelling, freetime activities, sports and holidays;

– Expressing emotions and problem-solving situations;

– Expressing personal opinions about the British and North-American Cultures;

– Writing personal texts.

 

2. Business and Management Technical English:

– business letter;

– email;

– memorandum;

– business calls;

– Preparing business meetings;

– Analysing technical documents.
