Learning Results
With this training unit it is intended that the trainee is able to:
Acquire the basic concepts of information and communication technologies.
Acquire the necessary knowledge for the efficient use of the main systems and programs used in the context of engineering, such as: word processors, spreadsheets, multimedia presentations and databases. Know the basic concepts of information and communication technologies.

Program
1. Information and communication technologies. General Communication Principles. Types of Communication. Oral communication. The “psychological bubble” as an important factor to consider in interpersonal communication. Preparation of an oral communication. Characteristics of good listeners and the importance of feedback. Assistance analysis. Importance of introduction and conclusion.
2. Word processors. Introduction to MS-Word and main features. Rules for the preparation of written documents monographs, reports, protocols, etc.).
3. Spreadsheets. Introduction to MS-Excel and main features. Usefulness of spreadsheets.
4. Multimedia presentations. Introduction to PowerPoint and main features. Rules for creating multimedia presentations.
5. Databases. Introduction to Access and main features. Usefulness of databases.
