Base Knowledge

None.

Teaching Methodologies

A theoretical exposition of each subject is made in Theoretical lessons which is followed by the resolution of application exercises in Theoretical-Practical lessons. In the laboratorial component students should perform four group works (Linear Dynamics, Statics, Pendulum and Rotation Dynamics) and to deliver a report at the end of the lesson.

Learning Results

Identification and characterization of a particle’s motion. Understanding the relations between the action and effects of forces in a particle as well as the importance of torque and inertial moment in the rigid body rotation. Ability to present the main characteristics of the simple harmonic motion (SHM) and the superposition of two SHM and the particular issues of the three main heat transfer processes. A professional attitude in his relation to work is developed in laboratory experiments. Ability to perform scientific decisions and judgments associated both with the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired. Interchanging of ideas and the discussion of problems and solutions is promoted during laboratory experiments. Self-knowledge acquisition habits are developed.
